Steve GravesCaleb,
You had set up a connection to a 2nd GP9 in the camera body for my client. That connection goes through the slip ring of the camera. It is not working and I am trying to figure out why. We believe the lines ring through. One thing the tech did was twist the wire you added with the wire from GPS PPS signal. That might not make sense in this case. Twisting the wires together would make sense if these two wires were carrying current for the same signal. Taking the camera apart is a pain. And untwisting these wires will be an additional pain. So I want to make sure I am on the right track. And I would like any information you think would help us solve this problem. Thanks,

Hi Steve,
Twisting the wires together may help with cable management, but you are right - since the lines aren’t differential, twisting them together won’t help with noise. On the other hand, it seems unlikely that the fact that the wires are twisted together is causing the problem. I may be able to provide additional insight into how to fix your problem if you can give more details about what is happening. If the information is sensitive, send it to [email protected] instead.
