CH Robotics releases v2.0 firmware for the CHR-6d, adding an onboard EKF for pitch and roll angle estimation
Provo, UT.- Provo, UT.- As of February 26, 2010, all CHR-6d IMUs shipped by CH Robotics will include new v2.0 firmware, which
includes an onboard Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) for automatic pitch and roll angle estimation. The updated
firmware makes the CHR-6d a remarkably low-cost, easy to use orientation sensor. Getting yaw and pitch angles is as
easy as turning on the unit and reading data off the UART!

World's First High-Performance 3-Axis MEMS Gyroscope from STMicroelectronics Packs 360 Degrees of Freedom in a Single Package
ST Microelectronics, a leading supplier of MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) for consumer and portable applications,
today introduced a high performance single-package analog gyroscope that accurately measures angular rates along three orthogonal
axes. Combining superior accuracy with high stability and a small size, ST's 3-axis gyroscope heralds the widespread adoption of
realistic-motion user interfaces in all kinds of consumer applications. Read More
WORLD'S FIRST SINGLE CHIP 3-AXIS DIGITAL GYROSCOPE AVAILABLE FOR UNDER $3 FROM INVENSENSE™
SUNNYVALE, Calif.- InvenSense, Inc., a leading provider of MEMS-based motion processing solutions for consumer electronics,
today announced the availability of the
ITG-3200™ 3-axis MEMS gyroscope, the world's first integrated gyro with three axes of rotation
(pitch, roll, yaw) on a single silicon chip. Read More
CH Robotics announces release of small, low-cost 6-DOF IMU using newest MEMS technology
CH Robotics introduced today a small, low-cost digital 6-DOF IMU. Targeted toward cost-sensitive markets, the CHR-6d IMU
is designed to simplify development and make inertial sensing available where it might have been otherwise cost-prohibitive.
The CHR-6d IMU combines 3 accelerometer axes and 3 rate gyro axes in a small, .8" x .7" inch footprint.
