I have been exploring the possibilities with the UM7 with the USB converter board.
Its set up with no GPS connected, giving feed back via the PCHRR sentence at 5 Hz and the PCHRS at 1 Hz, no binary data.
on occasion, if the device is moved fairly rigorously in a number of axis no more NMEA sentences are produced.
I was careful to ensure that I wasn’t shorting anything out and can repeatably produce the state.
I was wondering if there was a reset command I can send the device to bring it back online?
It sounds like the filter is crashing during motion. This tends to happen around +/- 90 degrees. You can prevent the filter from crashing by putting it in quaternion mode.
