I am having some trouble running the AHRS Interface application on my PC. Does it work on Windows XP?

When I run the AHRSInterface.exe an Application Error dialog appears, with the message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."

FYI I get the same error when trying to run the IMU application.

The IMU application should work on Windows XP.

The AHRS Interface app has problems on XP - I'm not sure what they are, but I think they are related to Direct3D. I'm going to post a new executable that has the 3D cube visualization disabled while I track down the problems.

I had the same problem with the Interface on my WinXP machine. It's a problem with missing DirectX DLLs.

After the installation of directx_feb2010_redist.exe I compiled the source of the AHRS Interface against this DLLs and I was able to start the executable.

I think there are other ways to get it working, but this is the one which worked for me.

I just downloaded the .rar file to one of my XP laptops. It still doesn't work for me. The only way I get it to work is on my Win 7 machine where I have both Visual Studio and the DirectX SDK installed.

I removed everything related to Direct3D, which solved the problem on XP.

voiceafx did you post an updated AHRS application without the directX code? I've just downloaded the application again and it still doesn't work.
